MatOrtho Welcomes Oriol Millet Lopez as Chief Operating Officer

MatOrtho Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Oriol Millet Lopez as Chief Operating Officer. Oriol brings a wealth of extensive experience in the medical sector, spanning over an impressive 17+ years.

Oriol joined Covidien as director of operations, where he served as both finance director and Supply Chain lead for the UK & Ireland between 2006 and 2009, followed by several leadership roles of increasing responsibility including setting up a finance shared service centre in eastern Europe and leading the European FP&A and business partnering organisations for several business units between 2009 and 2012, demonstrating exceptional leadership and drive. Subsequently, in 2014, Oriol made a significant career move to CR Bard, where he continued to excel, expanding his financial responsibilities covering the entire EMEA region, including oversight for supply chain and indirect procurement in his role of VP Finance EMEA, during his five-year tenure.

In the wake of CR Bard's acquisition by BD, Oriol assumed the critical role to lead the finance and commercial integration for EMEA, while retaining his role as VP Finance EMEA for Bard’s legacy business. In 2019, Oriol embraced a new challenge, stepping into the role of VP Finance EMEA at Hillrom, where he expertly oversaw the finance function for the EMEA region and partnered with Global operations to implement a continuous improvement program. Oriol's tenure at Hillrom was marked by tremendous success over nearly three years, culminating in his appointment in 2021 to lead the finance integration for EMEA at Baxter International Inc., following their acquisition of Hillrom.

Throughout his career, Oriol has garnered recognition as a strategic and inspirational leader, renowned for his invaluable expertise in delivering astute financial guidance and consultancy within the complex landscape of Global business. His profound understanding of business, commercial intricacies, financial acumen, and technological prowess has set him apart in the corporate medical sector.

MatOrtho CEO, Duncan Wilson, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Oriol as the Chief Operating Officer at MatOrtho. His extensive experience in the medical sector and strong leadership skills will be highly important to our team as we embark on our journey of growth in 2024 and beyond."
