Everyone at MatOrtho was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Professor Dominic Meek.
Dominic was an accomplished and highly respected orthopaedic surgeon, researcher and educator, and a leading figure within the hip surgery and hip resurfacing community.
Over many years, Dominic was also a valued friend and collaborator of MatOrtho. He contributed generously to our shared scientific and educational efforts, giving his time, experience and insight to help advance understanding and support the wider orthopaedic community.
His professional achievements and contribution to his specialty were considerable. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing him, Dominic will be remembered just as much for the person he was: exceptionally kind, thoughtful and unassuming, and always generous with his time and knowledge.
We are grateful to have known and worked alongside him.
Our thoughts are with Dominic’s family, friends, colleagues and the many people whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed by all his friends at MatOrtho.
